Vantage training courses provide the technical background a Vantage dealer needs to design, install, program and maintain Vantage automation systems. Our technical training courses are not open to the general public, but are instead intended for existing and prospective dealers, integrators, designers, architects, specifiers, programmers, and other lighting and home automation professionals.
The only way to become a Vantage dealer is
to complete the Vantage Certification Training.
The training courses incorporate practical components
and certification tests. In other words,
besides providing verbal instruction, we supervise
in-class exercises.
For the exam, along with
multiple-choice, matching, and short-answer
questions, we now require course participants
to write small programs to perform required
functions, which we evaluate.
The formal training we provide for becoming a
Vantage Certified Dealer is only the beginning
of the Vantage education process. Each new
installation brings new challenges and greater
awareness of Vantage’s capabilities. Part of our
strategic goal is to better communicate the collective
knowledge of our dealer base throughout
the group so we can more easily share our
best practices with each other. As we all benefit from this cooperative effort, we will shorten
the learning curve and ultimately provide better
service to our customers – and that will help us
all improve our individual bottom lines.
The intention of all this is to increase the level of
professionalism and competence of our dealers in the field.
Our technical support staff at Vantage is perhaps
one of our strongest assets. We seek the
best and brightest individuals we can find to
form the front-line point of contact and support
for our dealers.
