The Vantage IP Enabler provides Vantage Master Controllers and C-Boxes an Ethernet port. This allows a computer to connect to a Vantage controller through a local area network, or even through the Internet. This allows long-distance master to master communications. It also allows master communications with other third-party Internet protocol devices. With an IP Enabler, both QLink and WebPoint can have high speed access to the Vantage system directly through the IP Enabler's IP address. This ability can be used to remotely control or program a system.

The IP Enabler comes in a standard form, or with an embedded Vantage Portal, which provides a communications bridge between the Vantage system and the Vantage Designer Toolbox.
