3 luxurious residences in Noordwijk, The Netherlands
Beautiful dunes, a vast beach, international allure… Noordwijk, a seaside resort in the Netherlands, has it all and that includes a 3-home complex that has been fully automated by Vantage dealer Home Innovation Services, specialists in system integration, A/V and home automation installations for the residential market.
The complex, built on a dune, consists of one detached and two terraced houses constructed in North-Atlantic style. A lovely picture right in the centre of this charming seaside town.
Entirely ‘à la carte’
A unique installation was created with complete freedom to adapt the programming to the individual wishes of each homeowner.
Vantage dealer Rob Koper gives us the details: “A basic installation –for lighting, audio, curtains, blinds, security- was meticulously programmed for the different owners according to their personal lifestyles and specific wishes. For instance, a person who travels a lot and is frequently away from home has different requirements than his or her neighbours. In addition, each home has its own unique extensions to the system.†But let’s take a look together.
Elegant appearance, easy to use
The interior design of the largest home bears the stamp of prominent architect Piet Boon, a well-known name in the Low Countries. Stylish and discreet, Vantage keypads are in full harmony with the interior and add an extra touch.
And the praise for Vantage continues. Take music integration for instance. In this home, there are no fewer than 12 audio zones. Select a bit of music? Simple to do via one of the keypads or touchscreens in the various rooms. Someone at the door? The touchscreens automatically display pictures of the entrance. You can see who is there and can press a button to open the gate. In the mood for a good film? Lots of viewing pleasure-Vantage also operates the home theatre: audio/video with built-in loud speakers and plasma screen.
And in the evening as you sit on your terrace and enjoy the magnificent sunset and all the other splendours this seaside town has to offer, the outdoor lighting slowly switches on (over a 30 minute time span!).
Rob Koper has this to say about the second contemporarily designed home: “This also has an extensive Vantage installation, with smart controls aimed at saving energy. For example, the hot water supply is linked to someone’s presence in a room such as a bathroom or kitchen.â€
And what about the third home? All electrical systems are operated by Vantage. Via touchscreens, not only can you operate the lighting but also the multi-room audio installation. Finding your favourite personal music list or album is as easy as child’s play. The accent also lies on comfort. There are three fireplaces included in the lighting scenario. The result? With a specific setting, the fireplace in the room automatically ignites.
